Are you a Green Homes Wales recipient?
We can support you through Phases 1 to 3 of the scheme by providing a Home Assessment and Recommendation Report for your property. This report is written by an impartial Retrofit Coordinator, and we can also help connect you with suitable installers.
What is the Green Homes Wales scheme?
Green Homes Wales is a Welsh Government initiative, delivered by the Development Bank of Wales, supporting homeowners throughout Wales to make their homes more energy efficient.
The scheme offers:

Fully funded expert advice from a Retrofit Coordinator
Grant funding towards specific approved improvements
How do we support your GHW project?
Every property we support through the Green Homes Wales scheme receives the same high level of detail and care, helping you achieve your home’s energy efficiency goals with confidence.
Phase 1 - Home Assesment
Full home survey carried out by a qualified Retrofit Assessor
Energy performance evaluation
Development of initial improvement recommendations
Identification of any required repairs
Assessment of heating, ventilation, occupancy and overall home condition
Phase 2: Design and Installation
Quotes sourced for your chosen energy efficiency measures
Identification of any ventilation upgrades required
Installer engagement and technical assessments
Design approval by a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building for multiple measure packages and non MCS or Gas Safe measures
Support with your Green Homes Wales loan application
Ongoing guidance from a trusted Retrofit Coordinator, with regular communication by phone and email
Phase 3: Post Installation and Handover
Installation of approved measures
Handover packs provided by the installer
Verification against PAS standards and TrustMark lodgement
Updated Energy Performance Certificate following completion

What Green Homes Wales Funding Covers and Additional Services
All of our standard reporting services across Phases 1 to 3 are fully covered by the Green Homes Wales (GHW) grant.
Additional charges only apply if extra services are required. This can include air tightness testing and design approval services. The price of which can be added to your loan. Any additional services will be discussed with you on site.
Additional Services and Pricing
Air Tightness Testing – £250 plus VAT per test
Design Approval Services – £200 plus VAT
Post-Installation EPC and Site Visit – FREE
While these services can be added to your Green Homes Wales loan (as far as we are aware), payment is required upfront before we can carry out these assessments or approvals.
